Raishma X What's Love got to do with it?
We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with the film What’s Love got
to do with it? Coming to cinemas on February 24th.
By the producers of Notting Hill and Bridget Jones Diary comes a cross-cultural romantic comedy. The distinctive cultures and traditions of London and Lahore collide in What’s Love Got To Do With It? A funny and moving celebration of love and family in all its many forms which stars Lily James, Emma Thompson, and Shazad Latif, to name a few.
The Adele Dress
The Adele midi dress is a vibrant hand-beaded dress, featuring a sheer
neckline and sleeves bringing together a contemporary design with
traditional beaded techniques. We chose this dress because Pakistani brides
traditionally wear red to represent love and passion during a wedding
ceremony as depicted in the scene above from the film. The Adele Gown is a
beautiful dress perfect to dress up for an occasion such as date nights or
formal dinners.

traditional Asian hand beading techniques with a European style and cut

The Blush Taffeta Maxi Skirt and Blush Crop Top is a beautiful Langha and
choli set bringing a modern twist to traditional clothing through hand
beading and contemporary cuts. Raishma designs are inspired by the vibrant

Therese Gown
The Therese gown is a gorgeous dark green gown featuring gold
embellishment and a modern one shoulder look. This dress is a perfect choice
for any formal occasion. For this dress we took inspiration from the outfit
worn by Lily James’ character Zoe and the beautiful gold jewellery worn by
Pakistani brides.

Aspen Orange Dress
The Aspen orange dress is a stunning maxi dress with a contrasting
print featuring button details down the front of the dress as well as
sheer bishop sleeves and plackets at the shoulders. Emma Thompson’s
character Cath who plays Zoe’s Mother wears a vibrant orange brocade
kameez (tunic) ensemble during the wedding scene. The Aspen dress is
a beautiful dress perfect for every occasion; it can be dressed up with
heels or dressed casually with white trainers.
